The Royal Bath & West Show 2026 proved to be a truly memorable celebration of the British countryside, delivering three days of sunshine, smiles and superb entertainment. Blessed with amazing weather throughout, the showground basked in warm spring sunshine, creating the perfect setting for visitors to explore the 240 acres of picturesque Somerset land. The great weather helped draw fantastic crowds over the half term holidays, giving the entire event a lively, feelgood atmosphere from start to finish.

Families were at the heart of the show, and there was no shortage of activities to keep all ages entertained. Children were especially captivated by the Discover the Future zone, where hands-on STEM activities sparked curiosity and imagination. Meanwhile, Lakeside Farm gave families a chance to connect with agriculture, offering interactive experiences that helped visitors better understand where their food comes from. The Woodland & Countryside Arena added a creative touch, with opportunities to try traditional crafts and countryside skills.

As ever it was the incredible local livestock displays that took centre stage. From impressive heavy horses to perfectly presented cattle and sheep, the standard of animals on display was exceptional. The Main Ring events were a highlight, especially the ever-popular Shetland Pony Grand National, which delighted spectators with its energy, charm and young riders giving it their all.

Elsewhere, the atmosphere remained celebratory, with live music echoing across the Main Lawn. Performances from local bands, including the lively Jelly Roll Jazz Band and the unmistakable Wurzels, kept spirits high. The vintage fairground and miniature railway added a nostalgic touch, while the expanded Food & Drink Pavilion and Great British Kitchen offered delicious local produce and inspiring chef demonstrations.

With so much to see, do and enjoy, the Royal Bath & West Show once again delivered outstanding value for a family day out. Combining sunshine, strong crowds, and a wonderful showcase of animals and rural life, it remains a true highlight of the West Country calendar.
