April is a wonderful time of year across our towns and villages. The days are longer, Easter egg hunts aplenty are under way and there’s a real sense of the community coming back to life after the quieter winter months. Of course it’s also only a few weeks until the return of The Royal Bath & West Show too (p16)!
This month we shine a light on the fantastic independent businesses and retailers that give our communities their unique character (p39). From family-run shops to welcoming cafés, these businesses are at the heart of
our high streets and supporting them helps keep our towns vibrant, strengthens the local economy and ensures these much-loved businesses continue to thrive for years to come.
We also celebrate the start of a new golfing season (p22). With spring sunshine returning and the countryside looking its best, it’s the perfect time to enjoy the wonderful golf courses right on our doorstep. Wiltshire is fortunate to have a range of beautiful courses, and whether you are an experienced golfer looking for a challenge or someone keen to pick up a club for the first time, you’ll find somewhere to suit! Golf is not only a great way to stay active, but also a wonderful opportunity to spend time with friends old and new.
So as spring unfolds, we hope this issue inspires you to support local, explore your community and perhaps even enjoy a round of golf along the way.
