There’s even more full-throttle fun on offer over the holidays as the Museum has teamed up with the British Motor Show to bring ‘Big Kids Toys Week’. Where kids and adults alike can take part in a packed programme of activities.

British Motor Shows giant Scalextric Haynes Motor Museum

Race with a super-sized Scalextric, try out the Sega Rally simulators and get hands on building and racing remote controlled cars. Visitors will also have the chance to marvel at some special display cars including the British Motor Show’s iconic Mustang. Watch automotive history come to life as the outdoor car displays get underway. From the humble Nissan Micra to one of the ultimate American muscle cars, the Dodge Charger.

Founded by John Haynes OBE in 1985, the museum offers an immersive journey into the world of motoring, where visitors can learn, explore, and create unforgettable memories together.

Housed within 15 exhibition areas, its vast collection spans everything from the birth of motoring and nostalgic classics to modern supercars as well as racing cars including Nigel Mansell’s iconic Williams F1 race car FW14.

Visitors can fuel up at Café 750 after letting their little ones explore the motoring-themed outdoor car play area. For younger drivers, a selection of Little Tike cars can transport them around the museum. All activities over the week are included with your entry ticket. The museum is open daily from 10am and is located just off the A303 at Sparkford in Somerset. Book online and save 10% plus revisit all year round for FREE.
