Enjoy some spooky fun and adventure this Halloween by following the Trowbridge Chamber Pumpkin Trail, on from Saturday 24th October – Sunday 1st November.
Twenty-seven individually decorated pumpkins will be displayed in the windows of shops and businesses across Trowbridge town centre from Saturday 24thOctober until Sunday 1st November. Find them all for a chance to win prizes!
The Pumpkin Trail, sponsored by Persimmon Homes, features a wide variety of eye-catching designs, from spooky Halloween pumpkins to circus, holiday-themed and pampered pumpkins. The printed and digital Pumpkin Trail maps will lead Halloween fans on a spooky trail of discovery around Wiltshire’s County Town.
The instagrammable pumpkins will be displayed in a wide range of venues, from cafes and beauty salons to the toy shop, board games club, pet shop, bakery and circus school.
Digital trail maps can be downloaded from the Trowbridge Chamber website and printed maps will be available from the Trowbridge Information Centre (weekdays) and The Toy Shop in Castle Street from Friday.

The 27 pumpkin venues will each display a competition number in their window. The challenge is to add up all the numbers and email the total to info@trowbridgechamber.com for the chance to win prizes, including:
- 2 x family tickets for four to the Cinderella Panto at The Civic
- Pampering gift box from Nature’s Sanctuary
- Bottle of Louis Pommery Brut sparkling wine from Majestic
- £20 Tesco voucher
Megan Witty, Events Director at the Trowbridge Chamber said: “We are delighted that so many town centre businesses are taking part and having fun decorating their pumpkins! Many thanks to Tesco for kindly donating the pumpkins for this community event, and we hope that residents and visitors of all ages will enjoy discovering some of our wonderful town centre shops, cafes and venues.”
The Trowbridge Chamber Community Interest Company, which organised this month’s successful West Wiltshire Business Expo, has over 220 business members from across the region and is one of the largest business membership groups in Wiltshire.
Businesses on the Pumpkin trail were asked to decorate their pumpkins externally, rather than carving them so they can be eaten after the event, rather than being thrown away.
One of the spookiest aspects of Halloween is that some 22 million pumpkins are thrown in the rubbish in the UK each year, where they end up in landfill and give off harmful greenhouse gases.
Pumpkins make delicious soup, pies and even pumpkin cupcakes. For pumpkin recipe inspiration, visit the Trowbridge Pumpkin Trail event page at www.trowbridgechamber.com/events. #EatYourPumpkin.
